Leasing Coordinator

Champaign, IL

We are seeking an experienced Leasing Coordinator to join our Residential team. Our ideal candidate has a proven track record in residential property management, experience leading a team, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role assists the Leasing Manager in overseeing all leasing operations and provides leadership to the leasing team playing a key role in the success of our residential leasing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily leasing office activities, including distribution and follow-up of new and existing leads, scheduling tour appointments, lease preparation, greeting customers, and responding to inquiries
  • Manage all prospective resident communication and provide support to ensure the leasing team delivers exceptional customer service through multiple communication channels
  • Partner with the Leasing Manager in developing strategies to drive traffic, and leasing performance such as dynamic pricing, leasing incentives, and commissions
  • Continuous review and revise leasing policies, procedures, and training materials as needed
  • Collaborate with the Residential leadership team to maintain consistent reporting on key performance indicators
  • Assist with turnover operations including organizing key distribution, conducting unit inspections, leasing data entry, etc.
  • Oversee tenant fob system, ensuring accurate records, distribution of new and replacement fobs, and communicating system maintenance needs
  • Assist the Marketing department to coordinate, staff, and attend campus and community events
  • Partner with the Marketing department to support social media content initiatives
  • Directly manage full and part-time leasing staff. This includes communicating job expectations, resolving conflict, adhering to policies and procedures, and implementing corrective actions
  • Conduct initial and ongoing training for new and existing leasing team members
  • Develop monthly staff schedules based on office needs and team availability

Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in residential property management
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience supervising a team
  • Strong project management and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in property management software and tools. Experience with Entrata is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license is required
