JSM is a local real estate, leasing, development, and investment firm hiring for a full-time experienced Carpenter located in Champaign, IL. 

What you’ll do

Under the supervision of the Carpentry Supervisor, the Carpenter assists with the completion of all commercial and residential carpentry operations. The essential functions are outlined below:

• Execute carpentry or construction tasks as assigned 
• Complete daily work orders with precision and on time. Includes completing carpentry-related surface repairs.
• Aid with the management of material inventory for specific projects
• Assist with the preparation of all locations and materials for carpentry or construction functions
• Operate, maintain, and clean various power and manual carpentry equipment and tools aiding in the completion of carpentry tasks
• Communicate effectively with other departments to complete tasks in an efficient and organized manner
• Maintain electronic records by documenting project-related time, labor, and materials.
• Knowledgeable in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical trades

What you’ll bring

• Valid driver’s license, driving is a requirement
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing trades
• Sky Trak/Lull certified candidates are encouraged to apply
• Requires periodic availability after hours and is required to work during elevated times for the department
